Apple Business

Worth submitting to. Free, and it is the only way to control what iPhone users see in Maps, Siri and Spotlight — the most under-claimed listing in local search.

Free.

Who actually reads it

iPhone users asking Siri or Apple Maps for a business nearby. That is a large, affluent audience that never touches Google Maps, and one most businesses forget entirely — which is exactly why the listing is worth claiming.

What a strong listing looks like

Verified ownership, a Showcase with current photos, accurate hours, and the same NAP as everywhere else. Apple Maps place cards are visually prominent, so photo quality does more work here than on a text-first directory.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes.

Is there an API?

Yes — Apple Business exposes POST /api/v1/orgs/{orgId}/locations with OAuth2 client-credentials auth, but access runs through a multi-stage partner programme with a data-qualification phase. It is built for agencies managing many locations.

Was this not called Business Connect?

It was. Apple folded Business Connect, Business Essentials and Business Manager into a single "Apple Business" platform in April 2026, and older documentation URLs now redirect.
